Back at the “Gesellschaft für Musiktheater” (cf. January 18th). – This is a club of classical-music enthusiasts that organizes low-budget and low-price concerts every single day of the season (from September to June). Saturday evening featured two Croatian musicians, Anđelko Krpan (violin) and Nada Majnarić (piano) who played Beethoven’s “Kreutzer Sonata” as well as shorter pieces by Dora Pejačević, Anđelko Klobučar, Nenad Firšt, and Ivana Lang. There were no more than thirty people in the audience and we had seats in the front row. If I had extended my arm, I would have touched the violinist. This gave the concert a unique intensity. And the enjoyment was increased further by the flawless and passionate performance. -- We joined the club in the intermission. Imagine this: 280 concerts between now and December 2016 for just 90 euros! And all this around the corner from us!
