“Digital explorations of Wittgenstein’s Nachlass”. -- Dr. Max Hadersbeck (computer-linguistics, Munich) gave a talk on this topic in our department this afternoon. Admittedly, I am not an enthusiast of “digital humanities”. But I quickly got excited both about the man and his work. The latter can be found and admired here: http://wittfind.cis.uni-muenchen.de . Hadersbeck’s tremendous competence and unassuming manner was impressive – a true scientist! I wonder whether his work will be able to confirm or refute Jaakko Hintikka’s claim that Wittgenstein was dyslexic.
